Community Mosaic Project - Part Two (26 May 2012)

Open to families and individual participants of all ages (children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent). In this workshop, we will design and assemble a tile mosaic that will be donated to the Lawrence Art Center for indoor public display. Participants will decide on the mosaic theme, create a cartoon, break and glue tile to piece the mosaic together, and grout the finished piece. Workshop meets May 12 and May 26. Because the mosaic will be under construction in both classes, the first class will cover the design process and the second will continue the construction of the mosaic. To learn the full mosaic-making process, participants are encouraged (but not required) to register for both classes.

Class fee: $15 Lab fee for supplies provided: $10
